The 130-acre property in Silverdale held many events and celebrations

Crista Ministries recently accepted an offer to sell their 130-acre property at Island Lake to a developer.
Currently, the zoning is rural residential or one-dwelling unit per five-acres. Once the sale closes, the developer will most likely apply for a zoning revision in order to build a density similar to the neighborhoods that surround the property.
Many Kitsap families are sad to see the property change hands for the first time since 1974. Events, celebrations, and memories happened during camps and retreats at the facility. Thankfully, the organization will still be able to offer their services just a 30-minute drive south in Port Orchard at Miracle Ranch.
It can be assumed that COVID took a major toll on the finances of this camp and a timely offer from a developer was the cure for that hurt.
